About this item
The La Matador is the first supercar in Jailbreak, added in the Supercar Update of April 29, 2017, the second major update following the beta release of Jailbreak. It is one of the most commonly used cars in Jailbreak due to its relatively low price, great stats, and the ability to spawn it for free. It received a model revamp in the March 2021 update, but it's original model returned three years later as a seperate vehicle, serving as the prize for Save the Future community event in OG Jailbreak. The La Matador has received several changes in statistics in-game. In a miscellaneous update in February 2020, La Matador had its top speed and acceleration vastly increased, or buffed, and became one of the fastest vehicles in the game. It was then given a remodel in the March 2021 Mid-Season Update, giving it a refreshed look and a brand-new interior, along with a nerf in performance. La Matador can also be rented for 50 Robux for one day, it is also the only car which can be rented in the entire game. This is not recommended, as it is much cheaper to buy it and keep it forever, than continuously spending Robux on renting it. The La Matador used to have a great price to performance ratio before its nerf. It is faster than the Cybertruck and slightly slower than the Megalodon. It also has a decent reverse speed and launch. Despite being poor in its acceleration to top speed time, La Matador has a fast acceleration rate. Handling on the vehicle is excellent, but it lacks in off-roading. Added to that, the places where the vehicle spawns, such as the Volcano Criminal Base, the Criminal Lair and the Rising City Bank, make the La Matador incredibly useful as a crucial getaway in certain cases. Overall, La Matador is an excellent car, but the Surus could be considered a better option in terms of better speed, off-roading, more seats, while costing only 9,000 more. Still, the vehicle has more spawn points than its SUV brother, and is a stepping stone for newer players into the world of supercars the game has to offer.
