How Jailbreak vehicle tiers work and which ones hold value
Written and reviewed by the AtlasBlox trading team, who handle Jailbreak trades and orders every day. We update these pages when the game or the market changes.
Two vehicles can be listed at similar values and behave completely differently a year later. One is still easy to trade, the other cannot be moved without a heavy loss. The difference is rarely stats.
This guide covers the four things that actually decide whether a vehicle keeps its value: obtainability, usefulness, look, and how many exist.
Obtainability is the first filter
Anything still purchasable in game has a hard ceiling on its trade value, because a buyer can always go get one instead of paying you. The moment an item stops being obtainable, that ceiling disappears and the value starts tracking demand only.
This is why season and event vehicles are the backbone of long term trading. Their supply is fixed on the day the event ends.
- Still in the dealership means limited upside.
- Event exclusives have a fixed, permanently shrinking supply.
- The week an item goes off sale is usually the cheapest it will ever be again.
Usefulness keeps demand alive
Vehicles that are genuinely good for robbery runs stay in demand because new players keep needing them. A collectable that nobody drives relies purely on collectors, and collector demand is thin and slow.
When you are choosing between two similar items, take the one people actually use. It will trade faster even at the same value.
Looks matter more than traders admit
A distinctive silhouette or a colour that photographs well drives demand in a game where showing off is half the point. This is not measurable, but it explains why some mid tier vehicles keep a premium that their stats do not justify.
If a vehicle keeps appearing in other players' screenshots, that is real demand data.
Supply: how many actually exist
An item released during a quiet period with low player counts is far rarer than one released during a hyped update, even if both were available for the same number of days. Rarity from timing is the most underrated driver of long term value.
Duped copies work the other way. They inflate effective supply and drag the clean version's value down with them.
- Release timing changes supply more than event length does.
- Duped stock suppresses the whole item's value, not just the duped copies.
- Ask how common an item feels in game, not just what a list says.
A simple test before you buy
Ask four questions: can it still be obtained, is it useful, does it look distinctive, and do you see it often in game? Three yes answers on the right side of those questions is a vehicle worth holding.
If the only reason to buy is that a list shows the trend arrow pointing up, you are buying a rumour.
Common questions
Do vehicle stats decide trade value?
Only partly. Obtainability and demand matter far more than raw speed once an item is off sale.
Are event vehicles always a good hold?
Usually, because supply is fixed. The exception is an event that ran during a very high player count period.
Why is my vehicle worth less than the list says?
Either demand has dropped, or duped copies are circulating and dragging the whole item down.

How we write these guides
Everything here comes from trades we run ourselves. Values in Jailbreak are community estimates rather than official numbers, so we describe how they move instead of promising exact prices. If something on this page is out of date, tell us on the contact page and we will correct it.
